Happy New Year!
2025 was an incredible, full-on year for AutoSpray Systems and for the wider agri-drone industry. From pioneering hands-on trials to launching cutting-edge commercial operations, it was hugely rewarding to lead the way in a sector gaining so much momentum.
Looking back, we’ve welcomed a record number of talented pilots into the AutoSpray Pilot Network and forged vital collaborations with conservation and agricultural partners. A major highlight was launching the ‘Beyond Restoration‘ project – a landmark collaboration with the National Trust, Woodland Trust, and North Pennines National Landscape. Supported by the government’s Future Flight Challenge, this project is creating the blueprint for restoring peatland and woodland ecosystems at scale.
Our team also returned to China for the XAG Global Conference to get hands-on with the next generation of drone technology and even training for swarm operations, ensuring we stay at the forefront of global innovation.
2026 is set to be a transformative year. We are ready for another 12 months of pioneering projects and industry-firsts. Watch this space… 👀
Out and About in 2026
We are currently finalising our event rosta for the year, but two dates you need to get in your diary now are:
- LAMMA 14th-15th January: We’ll be exhibiting alongside our partners at De Sangosse. Come and see the future of agriculture in person at Stand 11.436.
- Cereals 10th-11th June: We are thrilled to be heading to Diddly Squat Farm this summer and we hope to see you on our stand!
Global Evidence & Efficacy
Andy Sproson and Scott Dowell (our COO and CTO) are heading to Kansas City later this month to speak at the Spray Drone End User Conference.
While the US was fast to adopt drone spraying, they are now looking closer at the data and efficacy that the UK and EU have prioritised from the start. Scott will be talking about granular applications and scaling up operations, while Andy will be discussing how application quality and regulatory alignment underpin safe, repeatable commercial roll-outs. This evidence-based groundwork is exactly what will unlock genuine commercial applications for our network in 2026.
