Robert Pearson CEO
Robert has a long history working on successful Chinese/UK collaborative projects.
Having founded a design agency in 1992, he guided the business to become a multinational product design group specialising in accelerating the design and production processes between the China and the UK.
During this time he reinvented the creative workflow between China and the UK and in the process, his Hangzhou based operation becoming the leading player in CGI imaging for the EU market.
In 2018 Robert sold his agency to focus solely on Sino/Uk projects. Drawing on a lifetime of experience in the field of innovation and with contacts in numerous industries, he is ideally placed to ensure the smooth, effective delivery of cutting edge projects.
Andy Sproson COO
Andy has a Professional background in the Emergency Services, involving Critical Incident Planning, Search and Rescue Operations and Resource Management.
He formed Pigs Can Fly with Scott Dowell and undertook Commercial Remote Pilot Training. In this capacity he was involved with Critical Incident Investigations and pioneered the use of Unmanned Technology to conduct surveys of dangerous environments and confined spaces.
From there, he worked alongside Scott Dowell to develop Pigs Can Fly into a U.K. Civil Aviation Authority National Qualified Entity.
Andy has created Unmanned Aerial Vehicle departments in over 100 Organisations and instilled a very high standard of safety.
Andy’s expertise includes Extended Line of Sight and heavy lift operations.
At the beginning of 2019 he began to conduct research into the benefits utilising Unmanned Aerial Vehicles conducting Autonomous Spraying of water, feed and Pesticides.
Scott Dowell CTO
Scott has a background in the Emergency Services. During this period, he developed Pigs Can Fly Drones with his associate Andy Sproson. Pigs Can Fly has built from providing it’s early days as an aerial imaging company to becoming a CAA approved National Qualified Entity, delivering UAV legislation to those wishing to become commercial drone pilots.
Thoroughly enjoys all aspects of the drone world, passing on his experience to others and having had the fortunate opportunity to operate a wide range of drones, equipment for a broad spectrum of tasks.
Prior to his emergency services career, Scott spent 7 years as an Aircraft Technician with Her Majesty’s Royal Navy. He worked on Mk 3 and Mk 8, Westland’s Lynx Helicopters, operating on land and at sea in the harshest environments.
Scott now focusses his passion and technical skills providing technically robust solutions for autonomous spray projects.
